2024 Florida Chapter Spring Event

Host Hotel

The Plantation on Crystal River, 9301 W Fort Island Trail, Crystal River, FL, 34429. There is a block of rooms available. King/Double Room Rates: $141 + $28 resort fee. The reservation deadline is March 26, 2024. This resort has an 18-hole golf course and full-service pro shop. For general information on this venue, you may call the hotel directly at: (321)-768-0200. The hotel restaurant and bar offers a full menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The Plantation on Crystal River is a full service resort with many amenities and activities. Come before the event or stay longer to enjoy all the resort has to offer. All you need is your bathing suit! The Crystal River Adventure Center is located on the docks of the resort. From there you can go on a manatee sighting tour – wet suits and snorkels are provided. If you want to stay dry, you can book a fishing charter, rent a boat, kayak, or paddleboard and see the river up close. You can go on a guided scalloping trip. The restaurant will cook your cleaned scallops or fish from any of your trips. You can explore freshwater springs that stay a constant 72 degrees all year. You will also find a lagoon-shaped pool with a Tiki bar and a spa for those who want to be pampered.

Judged Cars and Judging Field

This is a 2-day Chapter event with Operations and a 1-point Judging School on Friday, then Flight Judging on Saturday. All activities will be outdoors under a canopy. Registration will be limited to 5 cars, so please register early. Registration is expected to fill up quickly.

  • A 5 car limit for judging includes Flight and Concours cars. Sportsman and Display cars are not included in the count. In order to provide quality judging, we reserve the right to limit the number of cars judged to no more than 5. Cars will be approved in the order their registration is received, and must include completed paperwork and payment. Online registration is preferred.
  • In order for your registration to be considered eligible for approval, all information should be valid through the date of the event. Please note this applies to all cars including Sportsman and Displayed cars. 
  • in the event that your car insurance or car registration expires prior to the event, you still need to send it in so you can be tentatively approved but you must provide the updated document to Lynne Nimocks at Lynne456NCRS@gmail.com before the event.
  • Registration is open to members and their immediate family (spouse/companion and kids under 23 years old).
  • Completed Registration Form(s) with payments must be received on or before April 6, 2024.

Friday 4/26 Outside in the Parking area of the Rose Building:

  • 12:00-5:00 Registration/Membership/Merchandise Table: Everyone needs to sign the Attendance sheet in order to verify attendance.
  • 12:00-5:00 Operations (Ops) Judging will be conducted on all cars: Judges please sign Judging Attendance Sheet to verify assignment.

Driven cars should arrive early Friday morning to insure a “Cold Start” test will be successful.
Trailered cars should arrive Friday with enough time for Ops to be completed by 5:00. All trailered cars remain in the trailer for cold start.

Please bring your current Car Insurance and Car Registration or Title with you to registration when you arrive per NCRS Guidlines.

  • 12:00-1:00 Lunch Break
  • 1:00-5:00 Judging Continues
  • 5:00-7:00 Dinner Break
  • 7:00-8:00 Judging School: Please sign the attendance sheet in order to receive 1 point

Saturday 4/27 Outside the parking area of the Rose Building:

  • 8:00-3:00 Information/ Membership/ Merchandise Table open
  • 8:00 Coffee and Donuts available to all participants at the Information Table
  • 8:00 Judges’ Meeting on the Judging Field
  • 8:10 Observer Judges’ Meeting on the Judging Field
  • 8:15 Owners’ Meeting on the Judging Field: Check your Judging Manual for procedures
  • 8:30 Judging Begins
  • 12:00-1:00 Lunch Break
  • 1:00 Judging Resumes until all cars are completed: All cars remain on the Judging Field until after awards
  • 3:00 approx. Tabulation Team completes scoring
  • 3:15 approx. Awards Presentation on the Judging Field
  • Cars will be dismissed after the Awards Presentation per NCRS rules

2024 Florida Chapter Summer Event

Schedule and Registration Information to be Provided Soon. The host hotels will be the Melbourne Hilton Rialto and Hyatt Place Melbourne Airport.
This will be a 5-point Chapter Judging Event.

2024 Florida Chapter Road Tour

Exact dates, Registration Information and Locations to be provided sometime in the summer of 2024.
This may become a one-car judging event.

2024 Florida Chapter Fall Event

Exact dates, Registration Information and Location to be provided sometime in the summer of 2024.
This will be a 5-point Chapter Judging Event.

We judged: ’56, ’58, ’62, ’65, ’67-BB. ’67-L79, ’70, ’78 (Pace Car), ’92, ’95 (Pace Car), and one ’68 for Concours Judging.
